Everything from our Game of Thrones walking tour through Dubrovnik's Old Town, plus a boat ride to Lokrum Island — the real-life Qarth. Sit on the Iron Throne, see the filming spots, and take your time on an island straight out of the show.
This tour starts the same way our Game of Thrones walking tour does — on foot, through Dubrovnik’s Old Town, hitting all the King’s Landing filming locations with a local guide. Pile Gate, Fort Lovrijenac, the Jesuit Staircase, Blackwater Bay — the full route, with behind-the-scenes stories and real scene photos at every stop.
After two hours in the Old Town, the tour doesn’t end — it keeps going. You hop on a short boat ride to Lokrum Island, where Qarth was filmed. The island is something else: a botanical garden, wild peacocks, and Dubrovnik’s own Iron Throne tucked inside a monastery. Your guide shows you the filming spots, then you get free time to swim, grab lunch, or just explore at your own pace.
You head back to Dubrovnik whenever you feel like it — boats run regularly. It’s three hours of guided tour, but the island time is yours. If you want the full Game of Thrones experience without rushing, this is the one.
We meet at the Large Onofrio’s Fountain, just inside Pile Gate. Look for the guide with the red umbrella. Please arrive 10 minutes before your departure time.
Our first stop overlooks the bay where the Battle of the Blackwater unfolded — wildfire, ships, and all. Standing here, you can picture the green flames lighting up the water. Your guide breaks down exactly how they filmed it and what the bay really looked like on set.
The mighty fortress that served as the exterior of the Red Keep. Compare scenes from seasons 2–8 with the real views over the Adriatic. Two stories, one spectacular location.
The main entrance to the Old Town doubled as King’s Landing’s city gate in multiple scenes — from the infamous riot where Joffrey was pelted with dung, to the beach below where the Gold Cloaks carried out the massacre of Robert Baratheon’s bastard sons. One gate, two of the show’s most brutal moments.
Walk the main limestone street and hidden alleyways where dozens of King’s Landing scenes were filmed throughout the series.
Stand where Cersei made her infamous Walk of Atonement. The baroque staircase inspired by Rome’s Spanish Steps became one of the most iconic filming locations in TV history.
The stunning Gothic-Renaissance palace that served as the exterior of the Spice King’s Palace in Qarth. We admire its famous façade and ornate columns from the outside — a filming location most visitors walk right past without realising.
A short boat ride takes you to Lokrum Island, where Qarth was filmed. Explore the filming locations, sit on Dubrovnik’s Iron Throne replica inside the monastery, and enjoy free time to swim, discover the botanical gardens, or relax among the peacocks before heading back at your own pace.
Large Onofrio’s Fountain, just inside Pile Gate. Look for the guide with the red umbrella. Arrive 10 minutes before departure.
